HR & Recruiting Lead

April - October 2021 • New York City, NY

What I liked

This internship has been an amazing opportunity to apply business administrative concepts I have learned during my time at UCR. It also allowed me to get real experience in the HR field. The people there are welcoming and always looking for feedback in order to improve the internship experience they provide.

What I wish was different

I do wish I had the opportunity to work with my team in person, however, the internship is entirely online. This did however make the internship super flexible with scheduling.

Advice

My advice for anyone interest in this internship is to be proactive in your work and share your opinion. humanID has a very dynamic work environment that requires you to quickly adapt to different situations and quickly take on real responsibility. They are also always encouraging interns to share their ideas and speak up. It's a great opportunity for you to really contribute to the fundamentals of the company.

Brand Marketing Design Intern

July - September 2021 • Cambridge, MA

What I liked

The work environment was so inviting, transparent, and easygoing. Because the whole experience was remote and most work was asynchronous, it wasn't difficult managing my own summer schedule around my internship schedule.

What I wish was different

While you get to communicate with many other teams, a lot of the actual work was done individually. For some this may be preferable, but I personally enjoy working alongside others.

Advice

Communication is key to making projects work!

HR & Recruiting Intern

June - September 2021 • Cambridge, MA

What I liked

Everyone is excited to be part of a close-knit team environment. My team (HR) worked very well together; communicated well, picked up each others' tasks when we were falling behind, and worked efficiently. I really enjoyed working with them in addition to facilitating company-wide procedures and other teams.

What I wish was different

I really enjoyed how it was; only thing was pay would've been nice but we all know we are doing it for the mission and experience! We are a non-profit so it was expected.

Advice

Talk to your team lead, founders, other teammates, and other team members! This is a great networking opportunity and you will have a much better experience if you take advantage of it!

August 2020 • Cambridge, MA

What I liked

The founders and employees were very down to earth, and took out the time to talk to the interns even though were weren't part of the internal team. Project developments were super exciting to work fun, seeing humanID's potential grow everyday is fascinating

What I wish was different

I wish I had more assignments to do, however in the current state, that's difficult to ask for, but would love to learn and do more in the future!
