I love working with the various temperaments of the dogs. They all have their own spunk and character and I have found it so intriguing to figure them out. I have a passion for animals and so having this opportunity to be with these amazing dogs and be a part of their training is life-changing. I am still currently involved in volunteering with GDB, just not as a full-time puppy raiser for the time being.
What I wish was different
I don't think there is anything that I would change about this experience.
Advice
Being proactive and showing up is the best way to learn more about the training and how to work with the dogs. This also helps the dogs themselves to get handling and training from other volunteers.
