Electronic Resources Librarian
We seek a passionate and experienced librarian to support and enhance the endeavors of the NMSU Library.
Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
- MLS from ALA Accredited graduate program or international equivalent
- One year (12 months) of work experience in a library or equivalent setting performing highly complex duties that require an extensive working knowledge of the techniques and practices of electronic resources management
- Experience implementing and maintaining services for management of electronic collections, such as knowledgebase, link resolver, discovery service, statistics, collection assessment, and ERM components
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Provides expertise and leadership in making electronic information resources accessible
* Develops and implements new procedures for the management of electronic resources within the library and communicates these procedures throughout the library
* System administration for electronic resource platforms (including link resolvers, electronic resource management systems and databases)
* Administration of discovery service and management of authentication systems
* Troubleshoots e-resources help tickets
* Liaisons with vendors to solve access issues
* Liaisons with campus IT partners
* Assists community college partners
*Gathers usage and cost per use data
* Queries ILS
* Prepares reports
* Monitors ILS vendor updates and makes appropriate recommendations as needed
* Other duties as assigned

Experience with Ex Libris ALMA/Primo
Experience with LibInsights
