Video Storyteller

I'm assembling a team and I want to pay you >$200k per year. 

 The world is constantly telling kids “you can't do that”.  This is where you come in. You will the bright voice fighting back against this and **telling stories that change how society thinks about childhood and what kids are capable of**. 

If you've always wanted to make films that impact the world, this is your chance.  We're already growing fast and backed by some of the best investors in the world (e.g. cofounders youtube and vc's who have backed >30 unicorns). 

Recess.gg is a new education system where kids design their own education and leverage video games, AI, and youtube to learn how to create. Your videos won't just be to bring in new users, they'll also help us clarify our product vision. 

Your stories will lay the foundation for the next 20 years of my life; I’ll be working 7 days a week to turn your stories into reality. Kids will live in a world of greater freedom; they’re learn to embrace what’s spectacular about themselves instead of being told to sit down and be quiet.

If you're worried you don't have the skills needed for this role, but you do have the spirit, don't worry. We’ll support you with a MASSIVE learning budget & contractor budget. You’ll be able to pick out your favorite editors and directors and we’ll get you mentorship from them. We’ll support you with a real budget to hire outstanding editors.

I can promise nothing but pain and difficulty in this job. There will be laughs and good times, but this will be the hardest thing you’ve ever done.  We’re battling a tale as old as human history - that of adults not understanding their kids interests and pursuits. We’re battling the human tendency towards meekness and insecurity.

Your stories should make kids feel powerful, parents feel proud, and inspire the hearts and minds of millions.

Responsibilities:

• Script, Direct, and Edit compelling videos of:
  • The founder story / documentary of the company’s mission and journey
  • Kids doing epic stuff (starting businesses, launching apps, contributing to open-source projects, getting hired as software engineers…etc)
• Manage an editor cutting up organic shorts and ads
  • From UGC influencer posts
  • Founder podcasts
  • Every-day meetings

You’ll like this role if you:

Requirements:

• None. I don't care how old you are, I don't care what your experience is. You could be a freshman right now or a 10 year film executive. All that matters is that you want to do something great, you love telling stories, and you want to realize your potential.
