Junior Interior Designer
Workshop Architects is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join our growing firm and support our Interior Design team efforts by collaborating on projects that include programming, conceptual design, space planning, schematic design, design development,
construction documentation and detailing, and furniture selections and specifications. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm and initiative, with an ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Strong communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail
are required. The candidate will work closely with all members
of the firm.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate with team members and Project Architects on
delivery of project milestones
• Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, interior finish palettes and lighting
• Collaborate with lead designer on finish plans, specifications, and material selections
• Provide design support and documentation throughout all project phases
• Work with outside consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
• Schedule product representative updates and manage the interior finish library
• Contribute to managing client expectations and team communication
• Establish and maintain positive client relationships
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited school
• 0-5 years of experience as a Designer
• Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, InDesign
• Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF+E
• Excellent graphics and visualization skills to successfully communicate design ideas
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Enscape a plus
• Ability to multitask and move between projects and tasks in various stages of design
• Goals to pursue interior design certification or licensure encouraged
• Strong organization, communication and relationship management skills a must
