Location: Hybrid – Chicago & Virtual

About The Dream Center:
The Dream Center is a co-working and business support hub in Chicago’s Soul City Corridor, designed to empower entrepreneurs and uplift the community through innovation, collaboration, and access to resources. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dynamic and creative Content Creator to help tell our story, showcase our impact, and build deeper connections with our community online.

Position Summary:
We’re looking for a talented and driven Content Creator to produce engaging, high-quality content that reflects the energy, mission, and culture of The Dream Center. From filming quick reels and interviews to capturing behind-the-scenes moments, your work will bring our programs, people, and purpose to life across digital platforms.

This part-time role is perfect for a self-starter who can balance creative execution with storytelling and understands how to make content that converts, inspires, and builds community.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Management

Capture and edit photos and videos during events, workshops, and day-to-day activities

Create Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and other digital-first content

Design graphics for social media, flyers, and newsletters using Canva or Adobe tools

Write engaging captions, post copy, and short-form storytelling content

Brand Consistency & Storytelling

Ensure all content reflects The Dream Center’s mission, tone, and visual identity

Develop mini-series or content themes that highlight our members, success stories, and impact

Stay on top of trends and platform updates to keep our content fresh and relevant

Collaboration & Strategy

Work closely with the CEO and marketing team to plan monthly content calendars

Attend in-person events or sessions in Chicago when needed

Track engagement and suggest improvements for growth

Ideal Candidate:

2–4 years of experience creating content for brands, nonprofits, or media platforms

Proficient in using Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar editing tools

Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video content on the go

A strong eye for visuals, storytelling, and social media trends

Organized, reliable, and flexible with a passion for community and creativity

Bonus Points If You Have:

Photography and videography experience

Background in entrepreneurship, community building, or youth programs

Social media management skills or experience with content scheduling tools
