Biomaterials Startup Summer 2025 intern

Intropic Materials develops protein stabilization technology for a variety of use cases, including to enable self-degrading plastics for consumer and industrial applications.

Join us this summer to assist with plastic degradation workflow including screening protein and resin candidates, analyzing and interpreting degradation data, monitoring long term degradation samples, and providing and maintaining suitable buffer and resin samples. May include interpreting analytical techniques such as NMR, GPC, HPLC, TGA, and UV-vis. Assist with embedding proteins with and without nanoprotectants into resins, thermally treating resin samples, and determining post thermal treatment stability of proteins through the degradation workflow. 

10-15 hours a week of lab work onsite in Berkeley, CA is expected.

Chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or similar majors preferred. Some wet lab experience is preferred.

A $1000 stipend will be provided.
