Speaker for NYLF Medicine - Los Angeles

Join us as a Speaker for NYLF Medicine!

Held on campus at UCLA and other college campuses across the country, NYLF Medicine is an immersive and hands-on opportunity for high school scholars to gain real-world career exposure to multiple professional opportunities in the expansive field of medicine. 

Join us as a speaker at the Graduate Student Panel. The Panel is an hour-long event which will comprise graduate (or upperclassmen undergraduate) students studying medicine-related fields. Your fellow speakers will be other students pursuing these fields. Speakers are invited to share their personal journey, academic and career goals, experience through the college application and admission process, and advice about college life.  Panels take place in June & July, several dates available in each location.

What are the expectations for the panelists? 

Speakers should be prepared to: 

Answer questions about their academic programs and college life experience 

Talk about what their universities offer  

Offer advice and feedback on how students can prepare for the college admission and/or med school admission process 

Payment is $150 stipend per speaking event
