Summary of Job Duties:

The Graduate Assistant for marketing and outreach is responsible for building relationships across campus with students, staff, and faculty to support the mission of study abroad. Marketing strategy specifically seeks to build pathways for underrepresented students through promotional materials, communication strategy, and partnerships with affinity groups on campus. Specific responsibilities may include- 
• Public Speaking and Engagement Activities including campus events, class visits, college fairs, and student orientations
• Managing social media presence, including posting/re-posting and engaging with constituents. 
• Preliminary student advising, providing general knowledge of study abroad options, scholarships, and application processes in group information sessions and one on one advising
• Front Office administrative support, such as event coordination, phone answering, or answering emails. 
• Creating digital and print materials for Social media, university calendars, printed flyers and other venues to promote study abroad opportunities, announce meetings and events, and other timely updates shared by the Office
• Supporting the Study Abroad Student Ambassador program, organizing programming, recruiting students, mentoring ambassadors and maintaining communication. 


Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty. In addition, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others is imperative.


Qualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have an earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Must be admitted to a graduate school program at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville

Currently enrolled in an on-campus graduate program

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Content Creation experience

Canva/digital design experience

Social Media Management experience
