Mechanical Engineering Intern

We’re seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2025. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real-world engineering projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment—perfect for students looking to gain industry experience just minutes from the UC Santa Cruz campus.

What You’ll Do:

Assist in the design and prototyping of mechanical components and assemblies

Create and modify 3D models and engineering drawings in Fusion 360 and SolidWorks

Collaborate with engineers on product development, testing, and documentation

Contribute to brainstorming sessions and technical problem-solving

Participate in lab and shop activities related to system builds and testing

Who We’re Looking For:

Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (junior or senior standing preferred)

Proficient in Fusion 360 and SolidWorks

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and basic fabrication techniques

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Detail-oriented and self-motivated

Our office/lab is located in Santa Cruz, CA, just a few minutes from the UCSC campus—ideal for local students or those staying in the area over summer.

Duration & Hours:
This is a full-time or part-time summer internship (10–12 weeks). Schedule is flexible based on availability.
