Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fit Specialist to join our team at L’ATELIER (lateliermiami.net). As a Fit Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring customers receive the best possible fit for their garments. You will work closely with clients to assess their tailoring needs, take precise measurements, and provide expert recommendations for alterations and custom fittings. Your expertise in garment construction and fit will help enhance our customers’ experience and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one client fittings to determine necessary alterations for an optimal fit.

• Take accurate body and garment measurements using industry-standard techniques.

• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on fit, style, and fabric choices.

• Communicate alteration needs clearly to the tailoring team, ensuring precision and efficiency.

• Assist in garment pinning and marking alterations as needed.

• Educate clients on proper garment care and maintenance.

• Collaborate with tailors and seamstresses to ensure quality craftsmanship.

• Maintain an organized fitting area and uphold excellent customer service standards.

• Stay updated on fashion trends and industry best practices related to fit and tailoring.

• Source fabric and other materials needed for custom work.

• Attend events as a fit consultant.

• Incorporate new technologies to increase the efficiency of L'ATELIER.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in tailoring, fashion, retail, or a related field preferred.

• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and alterations.

• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in measurements.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple fittings.
