Internship

Rachel Comey LLC Internship Job Description:

 

Responsibilities: 

• Assisting in the design and product development process that overlaps across multiple seasons for A) Shoes, Handbags and Jewelry B) Knitwear C) Womenswear, Print and Fabric

• Organizing and preparing knit / leather/ fabric swatches and trims for seasonal binders and boards

• Helping with CAD’s, including color-ups, print development, development trial requests

• Material and trim sourcing, garment district errands, and preparing packages

• Assisting in Sketching and initial Tech Pack Development / Image updates

• Maintaining Line sheet updates that correspond with our board’s

• Pre-Show Prep – Sample Tagging and Classifying for our Showroom.

• Ecomm Shoot – Helping to pass off shoes to Photographer and update codes in system.

• Assist with organizing studio space.

• Assist in runway show preparation:

o hand sewing, garment steaming, packaging, showroom set up, tagging garments, model cards, style boards, etc.

 

Job Qualifications: Students currently enrolled in a full-time university fashion design / production program or related discipline and can work at least 2 days a week for school credit will be eligible for this internship. Willingness to work weekends leading up to runway show.

 

Qualified candidates will be selected based on the following criteria:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Highly motivated and organized with attention to details

•  Ability to handle fast paced environment

•  Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.

•  Must be proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Creative Suite

•  Familiarity with garment construction and basic hand sewing skills
