Position Overview:

The Worship Leader will work closely with the Worship Pastor to cultivate a life-giving, passionate, and skillful culture of worship at Summit Church. This role involves spiritual and musical leadership of various worship teams and assisting with planning, coordination, and execution of worship services and events.

Responsibilities:

Lead worship for services and events as assigned by the Worship Pastor. Includes services for the various ministries of the church (i.e. youth, college, women’s, men’s).

Support creative planning of worship services and help achieve department goals.

Assist with scheduling, recruiting, pastoring, and developing team members.

Plan worship sets and manage practice resources in Planning Center.

Create sets in Ableton Live/Playback Premium and ProPresenter presentations, utilizing MIDI and SMPTE for automation.

Assist with original music creation and production.

Maintain team communication and community.

Competencies:

Proficient in guitar, piano, and singing.

Ability to lead a worship team and produce meaningful worship experiences.

Excellent communication skills.

Proficiency with Planning Center, Ableton Live, Playback Premium, and ProPresenter.

Knowledge of MIDI and SMPTE.

Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.

Positive attitude and servant’s heart.

Alignment with Summit Church’s vision.

Required Education and Experience:

Minimum 2 years of worship leading with band experience in a local church.

Associate’s Degree or Certification in Worship Ministry.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience with DAW software, ProPresenter, and MIDI.

Experience leading large volunteer teams.

Worship Ministry Bachelor’s Degree.
