Technician, Research & Development
Work as a technician in the Research & Development Department fabricating prototypes, running trials, identifying corrective action, and work with all stakeholders to ensure effective product launch or process improvement.
- Design and fabricate prototypes for new products.
- Run tests and trials and on new products or processes at both Marion and Bristol
- Conduct specified testing, record data and maintain records relating to certification program, as well as other internal testing and audits.
- Serve as point of contact to handle technical inquiries regarding products and installation from customers.
- Work with Quality Assurance to address customer complaints.
- Assist in establishing equipment needs and procedures for all new products.
- Help set up new production lines and train personnel involved.
- Responsible for running all accelerated weathering tests (QUV).
- Be knowledgeable of equipment, product and processes.
- Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
- Comply with established safety rules.
- Comply with company policy and procedures.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five to eight years of experience in product design and/or development. Experience in planning, designing and development of products.
- Job specific competencies may be assigned by the department / direct manager.
