           Callan Publishing, one of the leading publishers of custom public safety magazines in the United States, is currently on the hunt for a talented and motivated advertising graphic designer to join our fast-paced, growing team. This is a position designed to provide ample opportunity to grow and refine your already impressive skill set. You will work closely with our senior designer on ad creation and design, magazine layout, and a variety of other duties to ensure we continue to produce outstanding publications to each of our clients. You will also work directly with the editorial director to ensure the style, tone, and content of each magazine is continually aligned with our clients' high expectations. This position also offers the right individual the opportunity to assist the sales team in helping update marketing materials and manage ad flow between sales and production/design.  

Description:

·        Responsible for helping design, edit and layout advertisements for print and electronic magazines on tight deadlines.

·        Assist in the design and layout of editorial content for each magazine produced by Callan Publishing Inc.

·        Assist in updating marketing and sales materials produced by Callan Publishing Inc.

·        The right individual for this position must be adaptable. We often need to change focus from one project to another quickly.

Requirements:

·        1-2 years of proven proficiency with both Adobe Photoshop and InDesign programs.

·        Familiarity with MS Office.

·        Accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking and self-motivation.

·        Marketing/sales experience a plus.

·  Experience with web-based publishing platforms preferred.

·  Working knowledge of Content Management Systems (Magazine Manager) preferred.
