Social Media Intern

Social Media Intern (Unpaid – Potential for Paid Opportunity)
Location: Winfield Street Coffee, 96 Broad Street, Stamford, CT (Mostly remote; on-site content creation preferred)

Winfield Street Coffee is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our team! We’re a community-focused coffee brand seeking someone eager to learn the ins and outs of digital marketing, help us share our story online, and capture the lively culture of our stores. While this internship is primarily remote, we encourage local candidates who can visit our Stamford location to create engaging content.

What You’ll Do

Content Creation & Scheduling

  • Assist with planning and executing social media campaigns on platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, and Snap.
  • Develop content calendars (weekly and monthly) that promote our brand, seasonal offerings, and upcoming events.
  • Capture photo and video content in-store for social channels such as Instagram Stories and Reels.

Brand Engagement & Promotion

  • Create and share diverse content (blogs, infographics, videos, press releases) across social media and relevant news outlets.
  • Track engagement (likes, shares, comments, etc.) to identify and replicate top-performing posts or campaigns.
  • Support the Winfield Street team at live and online events, helping generate buzz and real-time updates.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor social media analytics tools (Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics) to gauge campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide recommendations on how to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement based on data findings.
  • Help refine marketing strategies using insights from performance metrics and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in digital communications, advertising, journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and creativity.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, Snap) and understanding of their best practices.
  • Basic experience with social media analytics (Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics) for performance tracking.
  • Comfortable using content management systems (e.g., HootSuite) and design tools like Adobe Creative Suiteand Canva.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
