Well established intimate apparel company looking for assistant designers to join our expanding company. Please be CAD/Illustrator savvy, detail-oriented, have good communication skills, and a team player. Lots of growth potential!! We offer training to the right candidate. Our brands have garnered accolades and rave reviews from both shoppers and buyers across the U.S. and abroad. In addition to our own brands, we do private label for major domestic and international retailers.
Responsibilities
* Assist with designs and development for single or multiple product categories
* Create flat sketches on computer
* Assist with design and development of colors, prints and fabric simulations
*Assist with creating original prints, tags, and packaging materials
*Assist with all presentation materials needed for market and private label clients
* Assist with tech packs and fit comments
* Supports product development team's calendar
* Communicates extensively with design, sales, and production teams
Qualifications
* Experience using CAD and graphic technology ie Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
* Experience in fashion and/or technical design helpful but not required
* Degree in related major (design/product development)
* Ability to translate and design based on trends relevant to target market
* Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross functional partners
* Strong fashion and color sense
* Strong collaboration skills
*Bachelor’s degree
*Garment construction: 2 years+
*Fashion design: 2 years+
*Adobe Illustrator: 2 years
