Social Media Content Producer (Summer)
Required Position Dates:
- Monday, May 19 – Friday, July 18, 2025
- Hours: 25–30 hrs/week depending on candidate’s availability and needs of the program
Compensation:
- $18/hour for undergraduate students
- $22/hour for graduate students
About the Position:
Come join us this summer creating social media content for USC Summer & Online Pre-College Programs (@uscprecollege)! We are looking for a creative, adaptable individual to take and edit photos and videos of high school students participating in USC Summer Programs, a four-week immersive experience bringing high school students from around the world to USC’s campus. This is a great opportunity to pitch and develop original ideas and build your portfolio of short-form video/marketing content.
Responsibilities:
- Pitching original, short-form video ideas to highlight the USC Summer Programs experience, from field trips to classes to individual student stories
- Collaborating with our social media team to meet marketing objectives
- Taking photos of summer programs events and activities
- Capturing video footage (on your phone), from interviews with students and RAs to b-roll of activities and events
- Editing footage into compelling social media videos, using multimedia elements like captions, graphics and sound effects
Our Ideal Candidate…
- Is familiar with social media platforms like Instagram, Tiktok and Facebook and stays up to date on social media trends
- Has experience scripting and editing short-form videos for social media
- Can edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut
- Knows how to use Canva or Adobe Express
- Takes initiative and brings creative ideas to the table
- Is friendly, works well in a team environment and is comfortable talking to people of all ages
