Job Description
 

  • Lead or assist in the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems across multiple business lines including nuclear, defense, industrial, and R&D.
  • Develop and perform/supervise routine engineering, analysis, and experimentation tasks.
  • Interact with project teams and customers to ensure project requirements are being met.
  • Help identify suppliers for project specific subcontractors.
  • Help generate development plans, inspection/test plans, and manufacturing plans.
  • Help generate design of experiments and conduct testing including documentation of results.
  • Planned, periodic domestic travel may be required to support meetings, site walkdowns, installation/commissioning, and emergent issues.
  • Other tasks as needed.
     

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial & Systems Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 5-10+ years of related experience
  • Ability to turn design concepts into finished manufacturing product
  • 3D Solid CAD modeling and CAD drawing generation.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to perform with little oversight, wear multiple hats, and react to changes rapidly
  • U.S. citizen
  • Able to pass a security background check and drug screening
     

Desired Additional Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of various manufacturing and inspection processes
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment including Instron Tensile Testing, Vacuum furnace, leak detection equipment, Coordinate Measuring Machine
  • SolidWorks proficiency
  • Understanding of application and use of GD&T on manufacturing drawings and translating those requirements into inspection requirements
  • Knowledge of configuration control and product traceability to customer specifications
