Student Assistant for Dyslexia Program

The student will support the Inclusive Education Department's initiative on literacy and Dyslexia. The initiative focuses on 3 areas; a) faculty professional development, b) course development and b) school partnerships.


 

The GA will support faculty in enhancing the quality of the Dyslexia Endorsement program. 

Tasks may include:

  • Improving Accessibility and Interactivity of Online Courses: 
    • Ensure our courses meet the latest accessibility standards and incorporate interactive elements that enhance learner engagement.
    • Evaluating the user experience of students in course modules for flexibility and quality.
  • Create Flyers and content related to the goals of the Dyslexia Endorsement program
  • Support Faculty to coordinate events with stakeholders in schools
  • Communicating with office manager and vendors for purchasing curriculum and resources

  • Strong technology skills and ability to quickly learn how to use new applications and platforms
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage documents, file systems and timelines
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills 
  • Responsible, conscientious, and professional
  • Self-starters with an independent work ethic
