Job Description:
Entry Level Modeling and Simulation Engineer (Full Time):
KBM is seeking to fill a full time position supporting a high fidelity digital simulation of a defense system. Successful applicants will be highly motivated self-starters, and possess strong problem solving skills. Applicants should be able to work effectively as a part of a team and independently. The selected candidate will function as part of a development and analysis team. The selected candidate will be responsible for mathematical model and simulation development, analysis to support simulation verification and validation efforts, pre-test analysis, and analysis tool development. Infrequent travel may be required.
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or applicable engineering discipline is required.
Required:
The position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Desired Technical Skills:
- Ability to methodically solve complicated problems
- Competency in C/C++ and/or FORTRAN
- Competency in Matlab and/or PYTHON
- Competency with Windows and/or Linux
- Working knowledge of continuous and discrete time signals
- Working knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
- Working knowledge of Electro Magnetic (EM) fields
- Working knowledge of probability, statistics, and random variables
