Herbal Skin Care Lab & Shipping Assistant (Novato)
compensation: $18-20/hr

We are hiring for a part-time manufacturing lab & shipping assistant. We make custom organic skin in-house from seasonally/locally grown flowers and herbs.
The position is between 10-15 hours/week, Tuesday - Friday (possible weekend work) with some flexibility on hours after the initial training period. Wildflower Apothecary is looking for helping hands for our growing custom botanical skin care company. We are a small business and a small team that strives to create an enjoyable and positive work environment. We often work at a high-pace with busy daily operations and deadlines, so we are seeking someone who enjoys staying focused and task-oriented.
This is a newly created, entry-level position that is shared between our production lab and shipping departments depending on time of year and current demands for the department. This position will spend the bulk of the day standing and working with your hands: bottling product, set-up/clean-up, processing incoming plants, labeling and wrapping product, shipping orders, cleaning, and organizing.

General Responsibilities:
- Assist in the bottling of skin care products while using good manufacturing practices
- Follow lab safety sanitation protocols
- Prep work in the lab: plant processing, handling and transferring oils and hydrosols, set up and wrap up for product making
- Assist with packaging and shipping of orders
- Prep work in shipping: cutting packaging brown wrap and tissue paper, stamping bags, pre-making travel sets
- Polish, label, and box finished product
- Complete daily organizing and cleaning tasks
- Assist with general office tasks
NOTE: This is not a typical shipping/warehouse position - think of it more like gift wrapping, as we put time and attention to detail into every order we ship.
