Executive Director
The Hutchinson Art Center is seeking applications for the position of Executive Director.
The responsibilities of the Executive Director include:
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Work closely with and report to the Board of Directors
- Research and pursue grants and other fundraising opportunities
- Supervise daily operations, employees, financial records and be responsible for facility maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized storage space by following collection protocols to ensure optimal preservation conditions
- Schedule, organize, and supervise the installation of exhibits
- Maintain relationships with Art Center members, artists, and the community
- Participate in strategic planning
Qualifications are:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, art or museum education preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Workspace (e.g. Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar)
Salary starts at $45,000. Based on with the applicant’s education and experience.
The Hutchinson Art Center will collect, preserve, document, and interpret North American art of the 20th to the 21st centuries and will provide art education for the enrichment of present and future generations.
