Marketing and Social Media Specialist

Marketing and Media Specialist

The Marketing and Media Specialist will contribute to the planning and implementation of Proyecto Juan Diego’s marketing strategic plan while leading initiatives to support the organization's mission and vision. This role focuses on expanding awareness, engaging the public, attracting new audiences, and developing marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work collaboratively with PJD departments to create written and audio/visual content for email communications, social media posts and campaigns, offline marketing materials, and web-based stories.
  2. Maintain templates for flyers, newsletters, and other materials; review and edit for events and programs.
  3. Design, produce, and distribute promotional materials, including artwork, logos, and giveaways.
  4. Ensure all communications meet high standards, are delivered on time, align with PJD’s mission and vision, and adhere to brand guidelines.
  5. Manage platforms that support PJD programs, including but not limited to Zoom, Meta Business Suite, and Canva.
  6. Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for marketing, communications, and donor acquisition activities; monitor progress, ensure adherence, and evaluate performance.
  7. Maintain and update the PJD website to increase traffic and integrate with the Donor Management System.
  8. Manage the Donor Management platform, fully utilizing its functionality to enhance donor engagement and retention.
  9. Collaborate with PJD departments to cover special events by taking pictures, recording videos, and hosting live social media streams.

Required/Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, or a related field (required).
  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in marketing and/or advertising campaign coordination.
  • Skills:
    • Graphic design and web design experience (required).
    • Proficiency in social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
    • Interest and knowledge of current events and marketing trends within specific geographic areas.
