Historian/Researcher
BLH Technologies, Inc. is seeking part-time support for a historical research project in the NLM Collection. The successful candidate will perform online research in NLM collections and databases to compile bibliographies and content summaries of collection content.
Duties:
· Develop and execute a search strategy for research in online NLM collections and databases. Research may also include non-NLM public-facing resources like the Internet Archives and other institutions’ digital archives.
· Deliver 4 bibliographies and/or content summaries and/or syntheses of selected NLM collections.
Required Qualifications:
· Master's degree awarded or in progress, from ALA-accredited institution or equivalent. Current MLIS students are encouraged to apply.
· Demonstrated experience with online historical research and writing bibliographies and/or content summaries.
· The ability to effectively communicate through interpersonal, written, and oral skills.
· Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Proficiency in the Chicago Manual of Style.
· Proficiency in citation management tools (e.g. Zotero, EndNote, etc.).
