Part-Time Art Teacher
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Part-Time Art Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging and culturally responsive art education. The Art Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a curriculum that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a love for the arts. This is a part-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver an engaging and age-appropriate art curriculum for middle school students (grades 5-8).
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student expression and creativity.
- Integrate art history, cultural awareness, and different art mediums into the curriculum.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through projects, participation, and other assessment tools.
- Organize and display student artwork throughout the school and in school-wide events.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into other subject areas.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and participation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a middle school setting.
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and art history.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to the mission of Nativity Prep and the education of young boys from low-income families.
