
Music Teacher
Music Teacher- Contract Position, Baltimore City/County
We have an opening for a Music Teacher position. The ideal candidate will have a love for music and teaching, with a focus on working with (but not limited to) young children. The work schedule for this position is between the hours of 8-6pm with the opportunity for extra money with evening lessons. Travel is required. Salary
$17.50/hr

Responsibilities
- Travel to schools or homes within your designated county
- Prepare and Teach weekly assigned music curriculum
- Uphold to Ell Jam standards such as:
- Uniform and Hygiene Standards
- Communication Standards
- Create a fun and supportive environment where students feel comfortable participating.
- Conduct Beginner Piano Group and Private Lessons
- Create a Positive Learning Environment
- Continuously Improve Teaching Practices
- Represent the company positively by fostering strong relationships with each client.
- Communicate nightly recaps of each class to the client.
- Substitute for a class within the same or a neighboring county when necessary.
- Assist with any day to day needs of the business when necessary.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a teacher is preferred, preferably working with children.
- Previous experience working with preschool to kindergarten (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in music education or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic piano/music skills and an understanding of music theory and notation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of all ages.
- You must be hard-working, team-oriented, friendly, energetic, honest and have great customer service skills.
- Patience, empathy, willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for teaching music.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to commit to daytime/evening hours.
- Be available to work Monday-Friday- time off can be given for special requests
- You must have a personal car, car insurance, and a valid driver's license.
- You must be willing to travel to each destination.
- Must be willing to complete a background check.
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Be at least 18 years old
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take ownership of assignments
