[DC/MD/VA] Digital Marketing Intern (Hybrid)

REUZE is an environmentally conscious company, that provides on-demand and eco-friendly alternatives to moving supplies. We make it easy for customers to instantly boost their environmental impact, with pre-assembled and durable rentable moving supplies.

We created REUZE because we needed to do something about the impact we had on our environment. Like many, we had moved countless times, and we felt like there was a better way. So, we did something about it! 

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Social Media Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have strong graphic design, written and verbal communication skills, be a critical thinker and have experience with all major social media platforms.

The Social Media Assistant will work closely with the marketing lead to create and curate content while actively engaging with our audience. Participating in this internship will be a great way to gain experience in a rapidly changing field. It can provide you with invaluable hands-on experience, teach you about the latest trends, and allow you to network with professionals in the industry. You'll learn how to create and manage effective social media campaigns and optimize content for maximum engagement. You'll develop skills in communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. It can also be an opportunity to showcase your talents. Specifically, we can offer class credit for learning toward a student;

(1) Working closely with our social media manager to learn how we strategize, develop and execute social media campaigns

(2) Learning and supporting how we work on drafting or editing of policies, procedures, and presentations

(3) Learn how to optimize a website, through shadowing our SEO lead and social media manager; Get comfortable with assisting with online outreach (supervised) and promotion using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more, which will hone in on those soft skills needed to communicate with customers through those channels.

(4) Learn how we create social media assets, graphic materials, mock-ups, email campaigns, online promotions, etc., and assist in using the tools we use, to learn software skills

Requirements:

  • MUST know how to use CapCut
  • MUST have experience with Canva
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, and other software
  • Excellent research skills
  • Available for a minimum 3-month commitment

***Must have individual and safe access to a laptop and smartphone for access to software you will learn with team members
