About Our School:
The Inter-American School (IAS) is a Christian, English language immersion school located in the beautiful highland valley of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, We offer U.S. curriculum and instruction to students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. IAS was established in 1961, and by God’s grace has continued to grow and serve the educational needs of students from both international and local families. About This Position:
We are looking for a high school math teacher to join our dynamic team starting in January 2025.
We are looking for applicants who are willing to help us fulfill our mission to promote academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment.
- Teachers must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Teachers must have a bachelor's degree; a degree in education is preferred, but not required.
- Teachers must speak English as their first language.
- Teachers have responsibilities to plan and teach the equivalent of 5 courses. There are 8 periods in the school day, which runs from 7:30am to 3:30pm for all staff. Typical classes could include Algebra I, Algebra II, geometry, statistics, accounting, pre-calculus, and/or calculus.
- Candidates from North America strongly preferred.
