About Our Nursing Program

The Valencia College Nursing Program offers a two-year Associate in Science (A.S.N) degree program as well a four-year Nursing Bachelor's of Science (B.S.N.). With approximately 600 students, both degrees offer opportunities for specialization. Nationally accredited and highly regarded, these programs combine rigorous classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experiences, equipping future nurses with the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

What are the Position Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution with a major in Nursing and maintain expertise in area of responsibility.
  • Must have current, active, and unencumbered licensure in the State as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner.
  • This position will require face-to-face teaching modalities.
  • Positions will require the ability to teach on-site at our West and Osceola campuses. Daytime, Nights, and/or Weekend availability is needed. The schedule may vary by semester.

  • Contract Workload:
    • (6) 3-contact hour classes for the Spring Term and the Summer Term (January 2, 2025 to July 30, 2025)
    • 12 student engagement hours and 5 hours supporting student learning per week for a minimum 35 hour work week
    • The length of contract is in accordance with the academic calendar.
  • Please note that you will need to establish Florida residency within 30 days from your start date if selected for this position.
  • Positions are Perkins Grant Funded and are subject to annual renewal

Salary and Additive Information:

Please Note: The base salary based on degree levels are listed below for a 12-Month contract. This appointment is beginning mid-year and the salary and additive will be prorated accordingly based on the actual start date and according to institutional guidelines and policies. 

Salary is determined based on relevant work experience and relevant highest earned degree level. The salary range by degree level is listed below:

Master’s: $50,387-$66,803
Master’s +30: $54,418-$72,148
Doctorate: $56,434-$74,819

 

**This position qualifies for a Valencia College Pay Additive of $5,800 to be paid in biweekly installments in addition to the annual salary**
