Aurganics Social Media Marketing Intern: Role Description

Role Description:

  • This role is unpaid, 8-10 hours of work per week.
  • The start date for this role is January 6th, 2024. The end date is August 8th, 2025, with potential for extension, conditional on superior performance.
  • This role can be used for academic credit.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze key industry trends on Instagram and TikTok and brainstorm strategies to increase reach and engagement.
  • Handle day-to-day social media operations: posting and engagement on TikTok and Instagram.
  • Create at least 5 edited, ready-to-post video content for TikTok and Instagram each week aligned with our content pillars.
  • Develop and implement a systematic approach to organize and repurpose content ideas.
  • Track and report on social media channel analytics weekly, monitor social accounts, engage with our audience, and reply to comments across platforms.
  • Provide updates on progress, content produced, metrics, and KPIs (key performance indicators) in weekly one-on-one meetings with the founder.


 

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a BA, BS, or other school equivalent.
  • Interest in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or Communications.
  • 1+ years experience working in social media and/or influencer marketing.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
  • Experience with video editing for TikTok and using CapCut.


 

What we’re looking for:

  • Creative thinker – excited about the unknown.
  • Media-savvy; enjoys both strategizing content and content creation (copywriting skills preferred).
  • Skilled in social media management: must be very comfortable with CapCut and iMovie.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
    • Familiar with trends and popular ‘sounds’ being used on TikTok.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, unlimited company environment.
  • Ability to implement constructive feedback and maintain a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong time management skills; ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and hit deadlines.
