Hulu Creative Design Team Intern, Spring 2025
About the Role & Program
Hulu’s Creative Design Team is seeking an Intern who will be an outstanding addition to our Brand Design team! As a Design Intern, you will work with world-class creatives assisting in the ongoing development and stewardship of the Hulu Brand Identity and campaigns for Brand and Originals like the Award-Winning The Handmaid’s Tale. The intern will report directly to the team’s Creative Director of Design!
What You Will Do
The right person for this role has a passion for design process and innovation, visual identity systems, and ground-breaking entertainment marketing experiences. - Work with team to developing concepts, reference materials, creating assets, and doing design research.
- Seamlessly move across all media, digital, video, print and UX infusing data and insights to develop outstanding experiences that connect to audiences.
- Work closely with world-class creative studio of Designers, Art Directors, Producers and Creative Directors.
- Assist in organizing graphic assets
- Assist in presentations
- Assist designers and animators in application and improvement of core graphic templates
- Work with design team to update and refresh existing design creative with current messaging
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Must have a passion for design, be a creative thinking and an innate instinct for what looks good
- Must have the ability to design in various styles to fit various types of projects and design voices
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs and working knowledge of Sketch
- Knowledge and passion for gestalt design principles of typography, layout and color.
- Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
- Experience with researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings
- Experience with multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using social media platforms to engage with an audience
- Previous experience working in the entertainment industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Embrace the serious fun that is designing for one of the most dynamic and growing brands in entertainment and technology.
- Previous experience (academic or internship) in journalism (print and/or broadcast); television, news and news media production; and/or television news script writing
- Familiarity with project management software like: Airtable,
- Detailed, meticulous, and organized
- Passionate creator of impactful visual design
- Effective communicator
Education
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- A student studying in their senior year or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
- All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week during a Monday-Friday schedule (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor)
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Santa Monica, CA. area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
