Our company's Research Lab's Life Cycle Management (LCM) group within the Pharmacokinetic, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics (PDMB) department is seeking a summer intern. The LCM vision is to build a state-of-the-art team with a passion for developing new assays and troubleshooting existing platforms to ultimately decrease the pediatric sample volumes required for concomitant use testing.
In this project, we are seeking to build tools to better characterize antigens and reagents in legacy company vaccine assays.
Learning opportunities for the prospective intern are:
- Involvement in the characterization of reagents and antigens used in assay development for our company's life-saving legacy vaccines
- Learn about vaccine development and assay maintenance in humoral serology
- Hands-on exposure to laboratory work for assay development in a regulated work environment
In addition to laboratory skills, the interns will have the opportunity to be engaged in scientific discussion and interpretation of data. The intern student will have an opportunity to present their research results in both oral and written formats.
We are seeking intern candidates at all levels with strong academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a multi- functional environment.
Location: Spring House, PA
This is a full-time internship position. Housing subsidy is not available as part of this program and must be funded 100% by the student.
Required Education:
- Candidates must be currently enrolled graduate student pursuing a master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Medical Technology or equivalent field
Required Experience and Skills:
- Candidate must have strong laboratory skills and an understanding of characterization of biological reagents
- Experience with data analysis tools
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills
- Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of 2024.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Strong laboratory skills and research experience, such as aseptic technique, basic pipetting, and dilution techniques.
- Strong knowledge in cell and molecular biology and chemistry.
- Knowledge of protein isolation
- Ability to follow procedures and thoroughly document experiments.
- Experience with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Interest in automation
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$39,600.00-$105,500.00

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
