 2025 Summer Intern - Cell Therapy Process Engineer

 

The Opportunity:

 

In this position, you will need to work effectively as part of a team responsible for furthering the frontier of cell therapies. This will require the application of technical and strategic expertise in science, engineering, and process knowledge to support the production of licensed therapies and pipeline products, as well as enable new technologies.

  • You will learn various cell culture techniques, including feeding, freezing, thawing, and harvesting, using proper aseptic techniques as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) 
  • You will execute a hands-on study in the MSAT lab to support process understanding and improve operations on the floor
  • You will collaborate cross-functionally with Process Development, Analytical Development, and Manufacturing teams to design and execute the experiment and interpret the data.
  • You will draft a study report and communicate the final results to the project stakeholders.
  • You will participate in team meetings and shadow on-the-floor manufacturing activities. 
  • You will support MSAT data management and documentation. 

 

This internship position is located in HILLSBORO, Oregon

 

Program Highlights

Who you are:

  • You are a third or fourth-year Bachelor’s student in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology or STEM equivalent. 
  • You have proficient laboratory skills, including wet lab techniques, aseptic practices, and/or cell culture experience.
  • You have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • You have a strong sense of initiative, flexibility in your approach, and a commitment to follow-through and accountability.
  • You can collaborate effectively within a diverse team, contributing to varied skills and objectives.
  • You have excellent communication and technical writing skills

 

The expected hourly rate range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Oregon is $24- $30. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
