Research and Data Associate Intern

The Jaylen D. Berry Foundation's mission is to accelerate community based change by bridging the opportunity gap for  underrepresented men, women and families in the State of Connecticut and beyond.

JDBF is seeking a Research & Data associate Intern to work a remote position. This position will include some travel but this will equate to no more than 10% of time allotment.

Job Description:

The Research and Data associate's role is to monitor, analyze, investigate and present data and key information in alignment with the functions of JDBF's campus team. The Research and Data associate must be familiar with data utilization and posses excellent research skills with an emphasis on timeliness. 

The Responsibilities:

  • Manage qualitative analysis of program outcomes
  • Aggregate and organize current and past organization information and statistics
  • Collect and organize target market research for foundation key perspectives
  • Present new ideas/innovative insights through quantitative data
  • Run basic cost analysis for organization initiatives and programs
  • Manage grassroots research efforts
  • Assist with Program due diligence and Grant research
  • Investigate & report relevant material and information to aid the organization's goals, mission, and vision

Minimum Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a degree-granting program in any business, STEM, or research related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office and G-Suite apps/products
  • Quick-thinker
  • A relentless passion for problem solving and deep diving into information/data
  • Passion, drive, and ambition for the mission of the organization and people we serve
  • Proactive thinker with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Self-started

Additional Information:

  • This role is 90% Remote, with mandatory team meetings and sessions ( via virtual calls)
  • This role does not require sponsorship
  • This roles is open to any and all college aged students (Giving the State of Connecticut Priority)
  • Interns are paid by a Grant structure per semester
  • This position requires a minimum of 10-20 hours per week
  • All interns earn an automatic 10% commission on any dollars that are a result of their fundraising/networking
