Product Engineering Technician

California Prison Industry Authority is currently hiring for a Product Engineering Technician, located in the Greater Bay Area! This position works in the Solano County and may receive a 5% Monthly Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Bonus. Alternate work week schedule of working of 4/10 hour days (Fridays Off). Provides its own office space with autonomy at a factory location and the opportunity to use the latest and greatest Autodesk CAD software programs, including Creaform 3D laser scanning. All while assisting the development and maintenance of a wide range of products in both wood and metal.
Monthly Salary: $5,632.00 - $7,415.00 PLUS State Benefits and Retirement!!
Position may receive a 5% Monthly Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Bonus.

Desirable Qualifications:
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Experience in Professional CAD Design or Drafting (Educational non-qualifying)
- Experience with Designing Wood or Metal Products
- Experience in Specific Autodesk Inventor and/or Vault Software
- Institutional safety and security experience, including working with incarcerated individuals
- Education: Equivalent to College Graduate with Engineering Emphasis
- CALPIA/CDCR Experience (e.g., institutional safety and security knowledge/experience, including working with incarcerated individuals)
- Class C Driver's License is required
