Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Independent Living Skills (ILS) Coach for people with disabilities. In this role, you will provide personalized support and guidance to individuals with disabilities to help them develop essential skills for independent living and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' independent living skills, including daily living activities, self-care, communication, mobility, and community integration.

Develop personalized coaching plans based on individuals' strengths, needs, and goals, with a focus on fostering independence and self-determination.

Provide hands-on training and support in areas such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, time management, budgeting, transportation, and accessing community resources.

Collaborate with individuals, their families, caregivers, and other support professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic support.

Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust coaching plans as needed to support individuals in achieving their goals and maximizing their independence.

Advocate for individuals' rights, inclusion, and accessibility in various settings, including housing, education, employment, and community activities.

Stay informed about best practices, assistive technologies, and resources related to independent living skills for people with disabilities.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with individuals and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Experience in life coaching, counseling, or a related field is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Empathetic and patient, with a genuine desire to help others.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
