Quality Control Analyst

Job Description

 

  • Conduct analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, finished goods, or stability samples
  • Interpret test results and compare them to approved specifications
  • Report questionable test results to management
  • Perform peer review of test data and analysis
  • Record experiments in ELNs according to established protocol
  • Make and maintain inventory of commonly used reagents
  • Participate in or support atypical or out of specification (OOS) investigations
  • Maintain up to date training file for the QC Department
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and adherence to all safety guidelines

 

Qualifications

 

  • B.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field
  • Experience performing laboratory-based tasks, including sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing results in biological, chemical and life sciences.
  • Experience in operating standard laboratory equipment including centrifuges, pipettes, pH meters, spectrophotometers and running SDS-PAGE and agarose gels is a plus
  • UPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis and/or Mass Spec is a plus
  • Have the ability to perform routine tasks accurately and follow strict methodologies to carry out analyses
  • Possess strong recordkeeping skills and the ability to analyze, interpret and report results to senior staff
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with others
  • Have a working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Experience working in a QC lab setting that follows ISO 9001, 13485 and/or GMP Quality Management Standards is a plus

 

Additional information

 

Position is full-time and permanent, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with over time as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Ipswich, MA are encouraged to apply.
