Sound Design Instructor

American Heritage Schools - Broward Campus is currently accepting applications for a Sound Design Instructor. The Sound Design Instructor is responsible for training students on the operation of all equipment used during our various productions over the course of the year. Classes take place within the theater itself which ensures that students learn how to maintain such a space and are entirely comfortable during productions. The theater itself is your textbook and each piece of equipment is a "section". While exploring and learning, students will naturally gravitate towards certain pieces of technical equipment: lighting console, sound board, spotlight, camera, etc. This makes it easy to assign roles to students during a production: Lighting Designer, Sound Engineer, Spotlight Operator, Camera Operator, etc. Students are also responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the space, and will understand what it means for a theater to be "show ready".
