Video Production Summer Internship (paid)

About the Project:

Join us in a pioneering initiative aimed at transforming ADHD awareness through visual storytelling. Spearheaded by Steve Dang, PMHNP, and Founder of Limitless Psychiatry, this project seeks to debunk myths, explore treatment options, and share personal stories about ADHD. Our goal is to create a series of 5 to 10 engaging video pieces tailored for social media, driving a significant shift in the perception of ADHD.

Role Overview:

We're looking for creative and motivated cinema students passionate about making a social impact. You'll be instrumental in bringing our vision to life, from filming high-quality videos to editing compelling narratives. This is a chance to apply your skills in a real-world project that aims to foster a more understanding and supportive environment for individuals affected by ADHD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Filming: Capture engaging video footage that effectively communicates our message.
  • Management: Oversee the project from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Editing: Develop a coherent narrative through skillful editing, incorporating interviews, animations, or graphics as needed.

Compensation and Support:

  • Stipend: $19/hour for approximately 10 hours weekly.
  • Equipment: Access to basic filming tools with the option to procure specific equipment as needed.
  • Experience: A unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while gaining invaluable experience in content creation and project management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A strong interest in mental health awareness and social impact storytelling.
  • Proficient in video production and editing, capable of creating visually engaging content.
  • Excellent organizational skills for effective project management.
  • Creative and innovative, eager to explore new approaches to discussing ADHD and its impact.

Project Details:

  • Duration: Series production with a new video release preferably every week.
  • Content Scope: Each video will focus on different aspects of ADHD, ranging from shorts to up to 60 seconds, designed for maximum impact on social media platforms.
  • Collaboration: Opportunity for active involvement in the content creation process, guided by expert insights into ADHD from Steve Dang.
