Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Design Assistant to join our team. The Design Assistant will work closely with our senior designers and project managers to support the design process from concept development to project completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for lighting design to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the creation of inspiring lighting solutions. The position is initially offered on a Part-Time basis with potential for advancement to a Full-Time role.

Responsibilities:

Assist senior designers in researching and gathering inspiration for lighting concepts and designs.

Contribute to the development of lighting layouts, plans, and specifications under the guidance of senior team members.

Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.

Assist in creating presentation materials including renderings, sketches, and presentations for client meetings.

Support the coordination of project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and product specifications.

Conduct on-site visits and assist in field measurements as needed.

Perform administrative tasks such as organizing project files, maintaining material libraries, and managing correspondence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Lighting Design, or related field.

Previous experience or internship in a design-related role is preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Strong visual and communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior designers and project managers.
