Videography Internship

Looking for an intern who would like the experience of adding static and dynamic visual recordings of events and curriculum to the Empowerteen program through Videography Editing and Production. An understanding of what would draw the attention of the teenage population and their parents into learning more about this beneficial program through photos, videos, audio, and short educational, promotional, and inspirational movies would make you an ideal candidate. The intern will be working on producing, directing, and editing promotional media content and curriculum through projects such as:

-photo slideshows and videos for the website (wordpress) and social media sites
-edit video productions to be uploaded to youtube and post video updates,
-produce and edit teen and parent interviews and testimonial videos,
-produce and edit promotional videos and photos for event campaigns
-organize and obtain paperwork for music authorizations, confirming copy write laws, etc.
-create and direct short educational videos with teen actors for certain lesson content (optional)
-potentially create stop-action or whiteboard video to demo lessons more conceptually (totally optional)
-may create music through music editing program to add to backdrop of short films (totally optional)

This intern will need to be discreet, kind, and have a good affect to work well with others, be proficient at and have access to photo and video equipment editing software (like iMovie and GarageBand or other), as well as a mind for contributing to brainstorming and strategizing ideas with the program director during each project. Good candidate will be available by Zoom, phone and e-mail to check in on progress and able to meet deadlines for various projects. Can easily collaborate with other interns who will be working on event coordination, and marketing/social media. Prefer a candidate who can devote time to working on projects given at least 4-10 hours weekly, and is available to follow-through on promotional projects. Longer internship (up to 1 year) and more hours are available upon request.

Intern for this position will receive class credit for the work completed and have material created to add to a personal work portfolio, as well as a reference letter from Dr. Paula.
