Body Composition Tracking Case Study: Participants Wanted

About the Opportunity

Fitmatch, Inc. ("Fit:match") is a body intelligence platform working with health clinics and organizations to make body composition and longitudinal tracking accessible, scalable, and affordable. Our smartphone app, QuadraScan, uses AI and computer vision to estimate body composition and body measurements from four photos in about 10 seconds.

We are looking for adult college students (18+) who are taking a GLP-1 medication prescribed by their own healthcare provider to take part in a case study comparing QuadraScan's body composition estimates with DEXA scan results, at no cost. Participants receive complimentary QuadraScan tracking plus a free DEXA body composition scan at a BodySpec location. Rather than relying on weight alone, you can follow estimated fat mass, estimated lean mass, body measurements, BMI, and more, and each scan generates a personalized 3D avatar so you can visually compare your progress.

Before your first scan, you will review and sign a Participant Agreement and Consent. With your consent, your QuadraScan and DEXA data will be used to evaluate and improve QuadraScan's accuracy. Separately, and only if you choose, your results, feedback, and testimonial may be used in Fit:match case studies and marketing materials, anonymously or with your first name only. A testimonial is never required and does not affect your free scans. You can stop at any time; the Participant Agreement explains how withdrawal affects data already used.

What You'll Do

• Review and sign the Participant Agreement and Consent, then download the QuadraScan app and complete an initial scan on your smartphone (about 10 seconds).
• Confirm with the Fit:match team that your initial scan was received.
• Complete your free DEXA scan at a BodySpec location [near you / within X weeks of your first QuadraScan].
• Complete follow-up QuadraScans every [2 to 4 weeks] for [3 to 6 months].
• Review your changes over time in your QuadraScan reports.
• Stay in touch with the Fit:match team about your scan schedule and progress.
• Share feedback on your experience, and optionally a testimonial, for use in our case studies. A testimonial is optional, and we want your honest opinion, positive or negative.

Who We're Looking For

• College students who are 18 or older
• Currently taking a GLP-1 medication prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider, ideally started within the last few weeks or about to start [so we can capture a baseline]
• Not pregnant and not planning to become pregnant before your DEXA scan
• Located near a BodySpec location [https://www.bodyspec.com/booking] 
• Interested in understanding body composition changes beyond the scale
• Willing to complete recurring scans for the full program period
• No prior experience is required. You need a iPhone or Android smartphone, fitted clothing for scans, and a few feet of clear space.

What You'll Receive

• Complimentary QuadraScan body composition tracking for the length of the program
• Two free DEXA scan at a BodySpec location to track how your body has changed

QuadraScan provides body composition estimates. It is a general wellness product. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition, has not been cleared or approved by the FDA, and is not medical advice. Results may differ from DEXA. Please continue to follow your healthcare provider's guidance. Do not change your medication, diet, or exercise based on your results without talking to your provider.

Fit:match does not prescribe or recommend any medication. Fit:match does not monitor your health or your medication during the program.

DEXA scans use a small amount of radiation and should not be done if pregnant. BodySpec, an independent provider, performs the DEXA scan and will share its own screening and consent requirements at booking. 

Participation is voluntary, and you can skip scans or withdraw at any time.

Privacy: QuadraScan does not save photos or videos of you after a scan is processed. We store [scan metrics and your avatar], which is accessible to [you and the Fit:match team]. Information about your medication and body composition is treated as health information, and, as stated in our privacy policy, we do not sell it.

How to Apply

Apply through Handshake. Please do not include any health or medication information in your Handshake application; we will confirm eligibility privately after you review our consent. A member of the Fit:match team will follow up with next steps.
