All work is in person and at our Chapel Hill office at 151 E. Rosemary St. 

Jury-X, LLC is a tech-enabled litigation consulting company that performs social media and public records research to assist with jury selection. We work with top plaintiffs attorneys in civil litigation providing data needed to identify and eliminate jurors who are not open to the arguments in our clients' cases.

Researcher Job Description: 

  • Conduct deep research and analysis of social media, public records, and in-court responses to discern potential jurors' orientation toward the case.
  • Learn Jury-X's proprietary X-Bias Scale and rules-based matrix and definitions to help predict the deliberation behavior of potential jurors.

Our work work utilizes skills in psychology, sociology and journalism but welcomes all academic backgrounds, and this work may be of particular interest to future in law students. The ideal candidate will display close attention to detail, collaborate and communicate directly, stay focused under pressure, and take direction from multiple sources. We enjoy and benefit from an energetic and collaborative open office setting!
 

Due to the variability of trial dockets, scheduled hours may fluctuate from week to week, and trials may arise at the last minute. As a result, flexibility is important, and weekly schedules may change based on trial needs. More than 90% of our work occurs on Monday during business hours and as such we require a minimum of 4 consecutive hours of Monday availability. Our office is located a two-minute walk from UNC's McCorkle Place and we begin interviews around~4 weeks prior to the end of each semester. 

Availability and Skills Required: 

  • Mondays, 4 consecutive hours between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Google Drive proficiency
  • Google Sheets proficiency
  • Ability to acquire proficiency w/ proprietary app
  • Basic internet browsing

Pay begins at $15.50/hour and, following successful completion of a 5-trial probationary period, increases to $16.50. We look forward to hearing from you!
