Laboratory Technician Job Description

Must have experience in:

 

  • Chemistry knowledge and lab experience
  • Sampling and testing tank solutions
    • Titrations
    • Hull cell analysis
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Line start-ups
  • Line shut-downs
  • Check line production boards
  • Sampling and testing tank solutions
    • Titrations
    • Hull cell analysis
  • Documentation
    • All test results
    • Adds/Builds
  • Tank maintenance
    • Transfers
    • Freeze-outs
    • Clean-ups
    • Adds
    • Dumps
    • Builds
    • pH adjustments
  • Filter changes
  • Drum cleaning
  • Training (as needed)
  • Supplies/chemicals
    • Correspondence with lab manage re: purchase needs
    • Receiving
    • Transporting
    • Stocking
  • Chemical storage maintenance/organization/cleaning
  • Troubleshooting (as needed)
  • Lab maintenance/organization/cleaning
  • Correspondence with WWT (for dump scheduling)
  • SDS/TDS maintenance
