Packaging Structural Design Intern

Bay Cities is seeking a Structural Design Intern to support our Structural Design team through hands-on packaging development and product testing. This internship offers real-world experience in ISTA transit testing, packaging design, prototype development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform ISTA transit testing and document test results.
• Build and evaluate packaging prototypes.
• Assist with structural packaging design and sample creation.
• Operate CAD/CAM equipment to produce design samples.
• Create 3D renderings and support packaging development projects.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production teams.

Qualifications

• Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with ArtiosCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software is a plus.
• Reliable transportation to and from Bay Cities.
