Job Title: Part Time Dance Instructor

Location(s): Fremont, Newark, Union City, Hayward and Milpitas

Job Type: PT (volume of anticipated hrs) - 3 to 7 hours a week

Wage range: $25 - $30 (Based on experience)

Employees needed: 4 to 5 

About Us

StepOn3 provides fun, engaging dance classes for kids in afterschool programs, working with children ranging from toddlers (ages 3–6) up through middle school age. We're looking for an energetic, patient, and reliable instructor to join our team.

Responsibilities

    •    Lead and teach dance classes to children in small or medium-sized groups

    •    Adapt lesson plans and choreography to suit different age groups, from toddlers to middle schoolers

    •    Create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for all students

    •    Manage classroom behavior and keep young children engaged and focused

    •    Communicate professionally with afterschool program staff and parents as needed

    •    Track student attendance and progress

Qualifications

    •    Required: Experience working with children (ages 3–6 and/or elementary/middle school age)

    •    Preferred: Background or proficiency in dance (any style — ballet, hip-hop, jazz, etc.)

    •    Strong communication and classroom management skills

    •    Patient, enthusiastic, and comfortable working with young kids

    •    Reliable and punctual

    •    Must be available weekdays between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM

Additional Requirements

    •    Background check required

    •    CPR/First Aid certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
