Part-Time Studio Assistant Artscape Atelier – Ardsley, NY 

Position Summary Artscape Atelier is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Part-Time Studio Assistant to support daily studio operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a creative environment, is comfortable with hands-on tasks, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe studio for students and staff. 

Start Date: End of August / Beginning of September Schedule: • • • • • Sunday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Monday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM Friday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM 

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week 

Pay: $17.00 per hour 

Responsibilities • • • • • • • • • • • • • 

Clean pottery wheels, tools, bats, and workspaces. 

Mop floors and maintain overall studio cleanliness. 

Process student check-ins and payments. Assist instructors during classes. Help students with basic questions and guidance. 

Organize shelves, cubbies, and studio storage. 

Restock clay, glazes, tools, and other studio supplies. 

Maintain studio safety and cleanliness standards. 

Assist with inventory management. 

Help with special events, exhibitions, and studio activities. 

Perform general studio maintenance and minor repairs. 

Package and organize finished student work. 

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications • • • • 

Current art students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply. 

Reliable, punctual, and organized. 

Friendly and professional with students of all ages. 

Able to work independently and as part of a team. 

Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds. 

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. 

Pottery or ceramics experience is a plus but not required.
