Music Livestream Intern FALL 2026
Jam in the Van, the Mobile Solar Powered Record Studio, Venue, and YouTube Channel is looking for creative interns to help run our livestream music discovery programming for the FALL 2026 semester.
Jam in the Van currently hosts daily livestreams focused on discovering emerging artists in real time. This role is similar to running a college radio show, where interns will host their own livestream channel and rotate daily shifts with other interns while spotlighting new indie music and engaging with a live audience.
Responsibilities include hosting livestream shifts, discovering and presenting new artists, engaging with viewers in the chat, assisting with livestream production, and creating one piece of social content per shift for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts highlighting music discovered during the stream.
The ideal candidate is a communication, media studies, film, or marketing major interested in music discovery, livestreaming, content creation, and digital media. College radio experience, music blogging, playlist curation, or a passion for finding new artists is a big plus. They should be comfortable on camera, social media savvy especially on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, and excited about sharing new music with an audience.
You should enjoy finding new music, engaging with online communities, and helping introduce emerging artists to new listeners.
Interns will gain hands on experience in livestream hosting, digital music programming, and online audience building, with the opportunity to earn commission through artist submissions and livestream engagement. This internship is unpaid but there is opportunity for hourly compensation.
