Creative Videographer & Video Editor

Summary

Jaycon Systems LLC is seeking a Creative Videographer & Video Editor to help bring our brand, products, people, and culture to life through compelling visual storytelling. This role is responsible for planning, recording, and editing engaging video content that showcases our products, manufacturing capabilities, company culture, customer success stories, and educational content. The ideal candidate is highly creative, hands-on with camera equipment, and experienced in transforming raw footage into polished, professional videos optimized for multiple platforms.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for marketing, recruiting, training, product showcases, and social media.
  • Operate cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and supporting production tools to ensure professional-quality recordings.
  • Develop creative concepts, storyboards, shot lists, and visual ideas aligned with Jaycon’s brand and messaging.
  • Capture footage of products, manufacturing processes, prototypes, employee activities, company events, and interviews.
  • Edit raw video footage into engaging and polished final deliverables using transitions, music, motion graphics, captions, sound effects, and visual enhancements.
  • Optimize video formats and specifications for multiple channels, including LinkedIn, YouTube, websites, internal LMS systems, and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, HR, Engineering, Operations, and Leadership) to understand content objectives and deliver impactful visual content.
  • Maintain and organize digital video files, project assets, and production equipment.
  • Ensure all content follows brand guidelines, quality standards, and project deadlines.
  • Stay updated on video trends, editing techniques, platform best practices, and emerging content strategies.
  • Assist in creating internal training and onboarding video materials when needed.
  • Proactively recommend creative improvements to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.

 

Necessary Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of videography, camera operation, framing, lighting, and audio recording techniques.
  • Experience with video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, After Effects, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of storytelling, pacing, composition, and visual communication.
  • Knowledge of content optimization for social media and digital marketing platforms.
  • Ability to create engaging visual content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Basic understanding of branding, marketing, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics, subtitles, transitions, and color correction is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.

 

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Production, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in videography and video editing preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience operating professional or semi-professional camera equipment.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous video production and editing work required.
  • Experience creating content for business, marketing, recruiting, manufacturing, or technology-related environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in at least one professional video editing platform.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be highly creative, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented.

 

Working Environment

  • Primarily office and production environment with occasional filming in manufacturing, warehouse, prototyping, engineering, or event settings.
  • Requires extended periods of standing, moving, lifting light production equipment, and setting up filming spaces.
  • Frequent use of computers, cameras, lighting equipment, and editing software.
  • May require flexibility in schedule to accommodate filming needs, events, or project deadlines.
  • Collaborative environment with frequent interaction across departments.
